Hyeon-ae spends six years raising her daughter alone while she waits for her husband to return from overseas. On the day he is to return, Hyeon-ae is raped at the airport. Filled with self-loathing, Hyeon-ae drives her car off a cliff and is presumed dead until she makes a sudden reappearance years later.
