Based on the internationally acclaimed litterateur Mahasveta Devi's novel 'Adhoba' (Neither married nor declared window), Swabhoomi (Homeland) is the story of Saraswati's frantic search for her missing husband during the chaos and anarchy of land acquisition offensive, which created a confrontation between life and livelihood and triggered a civil war.
