It was the recipient of an Honorary Mention at the Berlin Film Festival in 1999, when Viscarret met Fernando Trueba, who then helped him produce the successful film Bajo las estrellas [Under the Stars]. Viscarret is sharing this session with Alan Berliner, whose documentary Intimate Stranger about the director’s maternal grandfather, his eventful life, and World War II will also be screened. Born in Pamplona in 1975, Félix Viscarret studied Film Direction at the William Patterson University in New Jersey, where he directed the short, Dreamers, which won several awards including the Special Mention of the Panorama Jury at the Berlin Film Festival (1999).
