Vondie Curtis-Hall has signed on to write and direct an adaptation of Warren Adler’s 2010 dramatic thriller “Residue,” Variety has learned exclusively. Jeffrey D. Erb of Framelight Productions will produce the film with Grey Eagle Films. “Residue” follows a Wall Street firm’s token Jewish lawyer as he finds himself in the middle of a chain reaction of international intrigue and bloody violence after the firebombing of a black church in Brooklyn that was once a synagogue.
