Architect Sture Ahrengren (Sture Lagerwall)walks out of his job with an architectural firm for several reasons, and with the support of his wife Helena (Signe Hasso.) He gets a position with an old friend, Balstar Ekberg (Stig Jarrel), who has a big engineering job going. But Ahrengren gets entangled in a romance with Ekberg's wife, Helena (Ilse-Nore Tromm.)
