Sur/Face juyon-nin no gendai kenchikuka-tachi

Roland Hagenberg and Karl Neubert united 14 contemporary star-architects from Japan in their documentary. It features Tadao Ando, Jun Aoki, Shigeru Ban, Hiroshi Hara, Itsuko Hasegawa, Arata Isozaki, Toyo Ito, Kengo Kuma, Kisho Kurokawa, Fumihiko Maki, Hiroshi Naito, Kazuyo Sejima & Ryue Nishizawa, Kenzo Tange Associates and Yoshio Taniguchi. Over a period of 12 months the filmmakers accompanied the architects throughout Japan. They present post-modern Japanese buildings together with the architects in a way no other filmmakers have tried before.
