简介

"Macedonia, the last project of Comintern" is a Bulgarian contemporary documentation series which try to explore the subject of creation of the Macedonians as nation, Macedonia as country, the invention of Macedonian language, culture and tradition, the falsification of the history which were needed to serve their needs. It also explains the biggest lie in modern Bulgarian history by showing how the Bulgarian Communist government after the commies come to power in September 9,1944 have committed a national treason by giving away Bulgarian territories to the Yugoslavian leader Josip Bros Tito. It shows how the Bulgarians in the so called Macedonian provinces are taught to declare themselves as 'macedonians' and several paradox and unintentionally funny, albeit tragic moments, such as a brother enlisted as Bulgarian by documents and his sister written in as Macedonian (they were both born by the same mother!) and other cases. An important documentary which brings light to the unknown (to the westerners) part of the Balkan history, starting with the Stalin's dream of creating, by his words "South Slav Union Federation" for opposing Fascism, consisting of Yugoslavia and Bulgaria, by the times Tito wasn't Stalin's enemy yet and with the backing up of Georgi Dimitrov, an eponymous figure in the Communist Bulgarian movement at this time. . It is also discussed how in fact the Macedonian state was born and by whom, and how the Macedonian alphabet was created with the help of a Bulgarian typewriter and one borrowed latin letter. Must be of interest to everyone who is interested in the truth about what happened in the Balkan region. Please, no political discussion in the thread, the movie consists solely of documents and witnesses's interviews, it's not a fiction, but a documentary! As of now, only the first episode is translated into English, the second episode is under translation. It is unknown how many series are yet to come, but I can assure you that every single episode will be translated. "I cannot become Macedonian, when I have never been one. That would mean that I betray my father, my mother, my grandfather and everyone, who were Bulgarian, Bulgarian, only Bulgarian..." - these are the words of one of the political prisoners interviewed who spent years in prison for trying to save his Bulgarian roots in a newly founded now foreign country, which once were part of his homeland...
