Personal documentary by Nicole Betancourt about her father, who died as a result of Aids in 1993. When Nicole grew up there were always cameras around her. When she was three years old, she made her first super-8 film. Her parents were popular guests in talkshows about working mothers and, after their divorce, about co-parenthood. By making a film about him, Betancourt hoped she would get to know her reticent father a little better. Being conscious of his approaching end he opens up and talks candidly about his marriage and his homosexuality. Her mother and grandmother also talk about their feelings without inhibition. This intimate film could be called a form of cinéma vérité by an insider. Set against a personal history, the story gradually develops into an examination of the meaning of family ties.
