Everything appears to be on track for aspiring comedian Moses Kim—he has landed a gig at a Toronto comedy club, he is marrying the woman of his dreams, and he can finally plan a life away from his parents. Unfortunately, Moses finds his dreams derailed when his parents give him the family sushi restaurant and he is forced to move back to his hometown of Windsor. A year later, Moses’s life is reduced to running a middling Japanese restaurant in the hometown he couldn’t wait to leave, while his wife, Yoojin, is left alone to care for their new- born baby. When Yoojin leaves with the baby to visit relatives in Korea, Moses decides it is the perfect opportunity to get his comedy mojo back. However, just as he begins to feel like he is in control of his life again, Moses’ teenage cousin unexpectedly arrives from Korea. It turns out, following your dreams is a lot harder than it sounds.
