The System

Chimera, a bio-terrorist group, was developing a bioweapon known as the Encephalic Plague. The group has three “heads“ much like the creature from which it is named. Chimera is led by General Marcellus Wyatt, head of a private military contractor known as Virtus International, and Dr. Joseph Eriksson, CEO of the pharmaceutical corporation BioTech. The third head was Monica Haggarty, a Navy Medic kidnapped and brainwashed during the Bosnia-Herzegovina intervention in 1995. Monica was eventually rescued by government agents, and joined a secret organization known as “The Agency“, with the task of stopping Chimera from carrying out its plan. Nine candidates were selected all around the country with the intention of recruiting each of them to The Agency. Monica and her partner, Agent Victoria Malatesta, were in charge of the candidates. Through manipulation, all nine candidates ended up working for the same police department in Miami, Florida.
