Kelly Wood was born and raised in San Diego, California. Growing up she was active with horseback riding and was also a competitive gymnast. Her interest in acting came while she was in her teens. Following her graduation from Eastlake High School she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood.
