Erik Barnouw was born on June 23, 1908 in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was a writer and producer, known for The United States Steel Hour (1953), Scandalize My Name: Stories from the Blacklist (1998) and Hiroshima Nagasaki August, 1945 (1970). He was married to Betty Barnouw. He died on July 19, 2001 in Fair Haven, Vermont, USA.
