安娜·乌鲁沙泽，Ana Urushadze hails from Georgia and was born in Tblisi in 1990 and graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Georgia State Film University (TAFU) in 2013. While studying, she directed several short films includingIdeas(2010) andOne Man Loved Me(2012).Scary Mother, Urushadze’s feature film debut, has won her several awards including the Cineuropa Award from the Sarajevo Film Festival and Best First Feature from the Locarno International Film Festival, where it was also awarded the Youth Jury Award and was in competition for the coveted Golden Leopard.Scary Motherhas been selected as Georgia’s Official Submission for the Academy Awards’® Best Foreign Language Film category for 2018.
