Kevin Ferris was born and raised in Severna Park, MD, a suburb of Baltimore to Susan and David Ferris, who worked for the Department of Defense. Following a hunch to try acting while imitating fraternity brothers at the University of South Florida, he eventually transferred to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles.
