珠尔·马拉南，Jewel Maranan is an independent documentary filmmaker from the Philippines. She began working on independent documentaries in 2008, tackling conflict situations in Metro Manila. Over the years, she has developed a deep interest in the ways in which history inches through ordinary life. Maranan is also an active participant in efforts to help develop Southeast Asian documentary work through SEA DocNet, a project-based network organized by the Goethe Institute in Southeast Asia. She currently manages Cinema Is Incomplete, a cinematheque, film-distribution centre and production company, which she launched in 2011.
