Avear Carey was born on September 18, 1980 in New York City along with her twin sister Apear Carey. Raised in Brooklyn by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Garnette and Veronica Carey. As a child Avear's first school experience was at Pilgrim Christian Academy, where she really learned what entertainment was about.
