Don E. Black，Born and raised outside of Oxford, Mississippi. Lived in Chicago, Illinois during World War II and attended Ray Elementary in Hyde Park. Attended University High School on campus of Ole Miss and was raised on a 106 acre farm that bordered the Yocona River - the Yoknapatawpha River of William Faulkner's writing.
