Ralph Ganis，Born in Southern Pines, North Carolina while father was in the Air Force. Later moved to Charlotte, NC among other places. After his parents retired they moved to Waxhaw, North Carolina, where he graduated from high school. He went to the Citidel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina for 2 years, then went into the Marines.
