James Tobey，James was born in Pontiac, Illinois, the youngest of three. The family relocated to Gresham, Nebraska in the early 70s where they operated a small town grocery store for many years. While attending York High School, York, Nebraska, James was active in theater at school and the Yorkshire Playhouse.
