Sherry Taranto，A fifth generation Californian, her family was the fourth family to own property and settle in Hollywood. On her mothers side, the Priesters, Nickolaus Priester came from Germany in 1887 and purchased a 160 acres of land in east Hollywood. Today there is a building on the corner of Santa Monica and Vermont that hold the Priester name.
